Let's assume the speed to Motorboat = M
and The distance = D

Downstream:
Given, Time = 5
Distance = D
Relative Speed = M + 4

Formula Speed = Distance / Time
(M + 4) = D / 5 = 5M + 20 = D
5M - D = - 20 - (i)

Upstream:
Given, Time = 6
Distance = D
Relative Speed = M - 4

Formula Speed = Distance / Time
(M - 4) = D / 6 = 6M - 24 = D
6M - D = 24 -(ii)

M = 44
