A person sold an item at a loss of 7%. Had he sold the item at a gain of 7.5%, he would have received Rs. 87 more than his selling price. The cost price of the item is :

(1) Rs. 500
(2) Rs. 550
(3) Rs. 600
(4) Rs. 650

एक व्यक्ति ने एक वस्तु 7% की हानि पर बेची। यदि उसने वस्तु को 7.5% के लाभ पर बेचा होता, तो उसे रु। उसके विक्रय मूल्य से 87 रुपये अधिक। वस्तु का लागत मूल्य है:

Suppose,
CP of the item = 100a

Given,
Sold the item at a loss of 7%
Hence,
SP = 93a - (i)

If sold with a gain of 7.5%, then
New SP would be = 107.5a -(ii)

Given,
difference of New SP and Old SP = 87
Subtracting (i) and (ii) = 107.5a - 93a = 14.5a
It means 14.5a = 87
=> a = 6
=> CP = 100a = 600
कल्पना करना,
वस्तु का सीपी = 100ए

दिया गया,
वस्तु को 7% हानि पर बेचा
इस तरह,
एसपी = 93ए - (i)

यदि 7.5% लाभ के साथ बेचा जाए तो
नया SP होगा = 107.5a -(ii)

दिया गया,
नये एसपी और पुराने एसपी का अंतर = 87
(i) और (ii) घटाने पर = 107.5a - 93a = 14.5a
इसका मतलब है 14.5a = 87
=> ए = 6
=> सीपी = 100ए = 600
