24x7 Doubt Solving

Detailed Explanation & Answer
A. Let's assume X = 100
Given, Cost Price is 4/5 of X = 100 x 4 / 5 = 80
He sold it at 5% more than X = 100 x 105 / 100 = 105
How much gain if the CP is 80 and the SP is 105 = 105 - 80 = 25
How much 25 would be of CP = 25 x 100 / 80 = 31.25%
Statement A is incorrect.

B. Let's assume CP for 1 kg (1000 gms) = 100
CP for 900 gms would be = 90
It means what he bought for 90 is selling for 100
It means the actual CP is 90 and the SP is 100.
His profit = 10 x 100 / 90 = 100 / 9 = 11 1/9 %
Statement B is correct.

C. Let's assume SP = 90
Given, loss is 1/3 of SP = 90 x 1 / 3 = 30
Then, CP = 90 + 30 = 120
How much 30 would be of 120 = 30 x 100 / 120 = 25%
Statement C is correct.

D. Let's assume the SP of one pen = 1
The SP of 100 pens = 100
Given, in 100 his gain is 20
Then, CP of 100 pens = 100 - 20 = 80
Gain Percentage = 20 x 100 / 80 = 25%
Statement D is incorrect.
