The Kothari Commission, officially known as the Education Commission (1964-1966), was an Indian educational reform commission chaired by Dr. Daulat Singh Kothari. One of the recommendations of the Kothari Commission was the development of certain universities into senior universities. This initiative aimed to elevate the status and improve the quality of education provided by these institutions.
