Whereas, I.A. Richards was a New literary critic and rhetorician, known primarily for his work in literary theory and criticism. He made significant contributions to the study of literature, with key works such as "Principles of Literary Criticism" and "Practical Criticism," but he is not associated with the British Cultural Studies tradition.
