What is Exploratory Research?
(1) It describes social situations, social events, social systems, social structures etc. The researcher observes/studies and then describes what did he find?
(2) It studies subject about which either no information or the limited information is available.
(3) It explains the causes of social phenomena. Describing the magnitude and nature of crimes committed by females in India is one aspect of female crime but why do they commit crime is its explanatory aspect.
(4) It is based on common sense knowledge based on the accumulated experiences and beliefs of the people.
अन्वेषणात्मक अनुसंधान क्या है?
(1) यह सामाजिक परिस्थितियों, सामाजिक घटनाओं, सामाजिक प्रणालियों, सामाजिक संरचनाओं आदि का वर्णन करता है। शोधकर्ता अवलोकन/अध्ययन करता है और फिर वर्णन करता है कि उसने क्या पाया?
(2) यह ऐसे विषय का अध्ययन करता है जिसके बारे में या तो कोई जानकारी उपलब्ध नहीं है या सीमित जानकारी उपलब्ध है।
(3) यह सामाजिक घटनाओं के कारणों की व्याख्या करता है। भारत में महिलाओं द्वारा किए गए अपराधों की भयावहता और प्रकृति का वर्णन करना महिला अपराध का एक पहलू है, लेकिन वे अपराध क्यों करती हैं, यह इसका व्याख्यात्मक पहलू है।
(4) यह लोगों के संचित अनुभवों और विश्वासों पर आधारित सामान्य ज्ञान पर आधारित है।
