Read the Question carefully and choose the correct option.

Two-fifth of the students of a school go to school by bus, One-fourth by car and the remaining walk down to school. One-third of those who walk to school are not accompanied by any one, the rest are escorted by their parents. If 224 students walk to school on their own, what is the total number of students in the school ?

(4) 1920

एक स्कूल के दो-पांचवें छात्र बस से स्कूल जाते हैं, एक-चौथाई कार से और बाकी पैदल स्कूल जाते हैं। पैदल स्कूल जाने वाले एक-तिहाई छात्रों के साथ कोई नहीं होता, बाकी छात्रों को उनके माता-पिता साथ लेकर जाते हैं। यदि 224 छात्र अकेले पैदल स्कूल जाते हैं, तो स्कूल में छात्रों की कुल संख्या कितनी है?

Suppose,
Total Students = x

Given,
Going by Bus = 2x/5
Going by Car = x/4

Then,
Remaining by Foot = x - (2x/5 + x/4) = 7x/20

Given,
Walk Their Own = 1/3
=> 7x/20 * (1/3) = 7x/60

Given,
Walk Their own students are = 224

It means,
7x/60 = 224
x = 1920

मान लीजिए,
कुल छात्र = x

दिया गया,
बस से जाने वाले = 2x/5
कार से जाने वाले = x/4

फिर,
पैदल शेष = x - (2x/5 + x/4) = 7x/20

दिया गया,
खुद चलकर जाने वाले = 1/3
=> 7x/20 * (1/3) = 7x/60

दिया गया,
खुद चलकर जाने वाले छात्र = 224

इसका मतलब है,
7x/60 = 224
x = 1920
