Indian Sign Language (ISL) will be standardized across the country, and National and State curriculum materials developed, for use by students with hearing impairment. Local sign languages will be respected and taught as well, where possible and relevant.

भारतीय सांकेतिक भाषा (आईएसएल) को पूरे देश में मानकीकृत किया जाएगा और श्रवण बाधित छात्रों के उपयोग के लिए राष्ट्रीय और राज्य पाठ्यक्रम सामग्री विकसित की जाएगी। जहां संभव और प्रासंगिक हो, स्थानीय सांकेतिक भाषाओं का सम्मान किया जाएगा और उन्हें सिखाया भी जाएगा।
